Garlic clove separator
The garlic automatic clove separator mainly separates garlic cloves through mechanical structures and physical principles. The following is its common working principle:
- Feeding and Conveying: Pour the garlic to be separated into the feeding hopper. There is usually a vibrating device or a screw pushing device at the bottom of the feeding hopper, enabling the garlic to enter the conveying channel one by one and in an orderly manner. The conveying channel will transport the garlic to the clove separating mechanism at a uniform speed.
- Positioning and Clamping: When the garlic reaches the clove separating mechanism, there will be a positioning device to fix the garlic in a specific position. At the same time, the clamping device will clamp the garlic moderately to prevent it from moving during the clove separating process. Some clove separators use robotic arms or clamps for positioning and clamping, while others complete these actions through pneumatic or hydraulic devices.
- Clove Separating Operation: The clove separating mechanism generally uses a variety of methods to separate garlic cloves. A common method is to use a cutter or blade to cut into the root of the garlic or the joint between the cloves according to the natural texture and structure of the garlic, and then separate the cloves from the garlic head by mechanical force. Another method is to adopt the principle of extrusion. By applying uniform extrusion force to the garlic through a specific-shaped mold or fixture, the cloves are separated from each other under the action of the pressure. Some clove separators also use technologies such as ultrasonic waves or high-pressure water jets to assist in clove separation, so as to improve the efficiency and quality of clove separation.
- Separation and Collection: After clove separation, the garlic cloves, garlic skins, etc. will be separated through different channels. For example, by using gravity and a screening device, the heavier garlic cloves will fall into the collection container, while the lighter impurities such as garlic skins will be separated into another collection area through air separation or other screening methods. Some clove separators are also equipped with a visual inspection system, which can identify and remove defective garlic cloves or impurities, further improving the quality of the separated garlic cloves.
